Spanish Language Holiday in Ecuador with TÚ TAMBIÉN

Arrival of the entire group at the Hacienda Hotel (arrival times may vary throughout the day). Individuals needing assistance reaching the hotel can be picked up in downtown Quito or at Quito International Airport. In the evening, we gather at a traditional restaurant near the Hacienda Hotel to savor the country’s specialties.

Breakfast is served from 8:30 a.m. to 9:20 a.m., followed by an intensive Spanish course from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In the afternoon, we explore Quito’s bohemian district of Guapulo, visit the historic old town (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) with the largest monastery in South America, and the first Catholic church on the continent. Our journey includes a visit to the largest neo-Gothic cathedral in South America and ends with delightful surprises.

After breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 9:20 a.m. and an intensive Spanish course from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., we drive to the small town of Mitad del Mundo (Middle of the World). Here, we explore the equator line dividing the world into two hemispheres. The visit includes the ethnological-indigenous museum and unique physical experiments. Weather permitting, we head to the viewpoint of Pululahua Volcano for breathtaking views.

We drive (approx. 2.5 hours) to Lake San Pablo. Upon arrival at our hotel, we visit the mystical city of Otavalo, home to the largest craft market on the continent and the condor reserve. An evening campfire awaits us outside.

After breakfast, we explore the city of Cotacachi and then head to Quicocha Lagoon. A boat ride (weather permitting) with hot chocolate offers one of the world’s most beautiful views. In the afternoon, we return to Quito.

Breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., followed by an intensive Spanish course from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In the afternoon, we visit the Cotopaxi National Reserve, meet wildlife, and photograph the world’s largest active volcano. Later, we drive to Baños (The Door of the Rainforest) for an overnight stay.

After breakfast, we drive (by car or bike) to El Puyo, observing waterfalls and natural gorges along the way. Highlights include a visit to the monkey park, a boat ride, and an afternoon return to Quito.

Following breakfast, we head to Hotel Arashá Reserve in the cloud forest. Stops include a visit to the butterfly farm in Mindo and a short tour of a chocolate factory. Optional activities like canopy, tubing, and rafting are available. The evening is dedicated to enjoying the hotel’s decor and spa.

After breakfast, an intensive course runs from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. A hike to the green and/or blue waterfall follows, offering a chance to swim in one of the world’s most paradisiacal places. In the evening, we return to our hacienda in Quito.

Post-breakfast, the course resumes from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. In the afternoon, we visit the National Museum or the Museum of Contemporary Art, and shop at the Quito handicraft market. The evening unfolds with a bar crawl in Tumbaco and its surroundings (near the hotel).
