Course Books
Teaching Materials in our Spanish and German Courses
In our German and Spanish courses, we employ a variety of teaching materials curated and developed by us. Additionally, we incorporate a course book into our Spanish and German lessons. The rationale behind this choice is simple: we have discovered that students find language learning more enjoyable when equipped with a clear and well-structured book. Such a resource allows them the option to learn independently or reference materials at home if desired. After experimenting with several options, we settled on a series that not only impressed us but resonated well with our students.
When selecting course books, we prioritized the following criteria:
TALK, TALK, TALK
Our focus in lessons is on the students speaking, not the teachers. Consequently, we opted for books that emphasize speaking in the classroom. In the exercises within these books, teachers facilitate student conversations rather than delivering monologues.
DIFFFERENT DIALECTS – DIFFERENT CULTURES
Especially in Spanish lessons, it is crucial to us that the Latin American varieties of the language are not merely mentioned but are actively taught. Our course books feature a diverse mix of information about culture and life across the Spanish-speaking world.
DIFFERENT TYPES OF LEARNERS
Recognizing that every student learns differently, our chosen books cater to various learning styles. Whether visualizing concepts, memorizing through listening, or relying on logical structures, these books support a range of learning preferences.
